Relic Relay

Stealing the three relics of power went perfectly according to plan. But what’s your plan for getting out?

Plan your movement carefully as you race toward the exit. Time moves when you do. If you fall on your way out, you’ll drop your relic. Fear not, the next hero will carry it to freedom. You’ll even repurpose its power for your own unique class mechanic!

Escape is not the end for those who dare to try the challenge mode!

Relic Relay is a game made by me, one other engineer and 2 artists in a week for Godot Wild Jam #89.

Areas I worked on:

  • Implemented 3 characters and their mechanics along with their combinations with each other for a total of 12 different mechanics. To achieve this in minimal time, I created each base mechanic in a modular way which expedited the implementation of all combinations
  • Implemented 4 different types of enemies
  • Partially responsible for character, enemy, and overall game design
  • Responsible for level design and game balance for normal and challenge mode
  • Worked closely with artists to implement their art and animations from blender in Godot
