Game engine used: Nitrous (proprietary engine by Oxide Games)
I have worked on Ara for over 6 years starting on September 2018 during its prototype stages all the way to ship on September 2024 and through post launch content since then. My role on this project has evolved over the years as I wore a few different hats.
Areas I worked on:
- Responsible for oversight on Engine and App level UI systems
- Rearchitected core engine UI module to facilitate decoupling of Update from Render
- Deep engine UI system work and maintenance for custom proprietary engine
- Implemented subsystems to allow modding of UI textures
- Data driven development for several gameplay systems
- UI Implementation for several gameplay systems
- Developed and rearchitected efficient gameplay code in a multithreaded job-based environment
- Spearheaded multiplayer gameplay systems support
- Shader work in proprietary shader language
